Still Awake

Mad Kane's limerick prompt this Friday was "sleep and insomnia."

It's night with its shadows still deep
As I'm tensely attempting to sleep.
"Near dawn" says the clock.
I summon my flock
And count till I run out of sheep.

Limericks always make me smile because of their rhyming pattern. Yours has described my past few nights perfectly as the weather gets so much hotter...

I recommend downing several pints of Old Chorister at your local, Miss Smith. That always works for me!

Sleeping seems to be a waste to me, except when I'm really depressed and don't want to use time wisely.
