Thank you for an excellent, informative post! I didn't realize it, but I must have quite a bit of xanthophyl in my garden right now with lots of daylilies and other yellow flowers blooming. Baby Myrtle was a cutie; you must be very proud of her.

Love this colour, the flowers always look like spring and doesn't that babe look a happy little girl, I hope she still is, 28 years later!

Terrific post. Darling Myrtle! There is no x-yellow in my green stuff except for an occasional dropping leaf.
You learn something new everyday when you blog. Thanks for this and for showing us your lovely photos.
What wonderful pictures you have shared.
We all need that bit of yellow don't we?
What a sweet picture of Myrtle! And a lovely, old-world name, too!
Xanthophyl is a great 'X' - and the photos are stunning. Your daughter and her husband and Xcellent photographers. ;)
Such a sunny-looking post. One of my favourite colours.
My Grammy's name was Myrtle. I miss her very much.
G'Day Granny, Do you remember our aussie wattle?
Xanthophyl good word, must remember that. :)
