And of course my favorite
evergreen tree is the
redwood.
Our Northern California redwoods grow tall...

...and massive. Daughter Candace stands beside a lichen spotted one
at the edge of our drive at our Mendocino County retreat.
There is also a wonderful university in Washington called
Evergreen.
Above is a photo of Grandson Johnny Smith
at his
Evergreen graduation last June.
He is now a teacher in Vietnam.
And what do think those trees in the background are if not...?

And I thought the obvious choice would be Elizabeth, your other life as Queen of England. Sorry that I keep going on about this ;-)
Although Evergreen is also a lovely E-entry of course.
I hope you take good care of them - there are not many of those giants.
I used E for evergreens too...but my post is a lot different. ;-)
Greate post. I started with the same for E, evergreen, but discovered something else I want to show you.Have a fun abc:)
What a great post! And congrats to your son.Our youngest is a teached too,but here in the US.
evergreen - excellent choice
What an interesting challenge, to become a teacher in Vietnam.
The Redwoods are beautiful evergreens. Good E!
Evergreen is a great choice. The redwood trees are so beautiful that I wish them a long life. In Australia I saw these giants for the first time. I really hope that there aren't any of them destroyed by the bush fires. Thanks for sharing! And thank you for your visit. We all try to speak foreign languages from time to time and even if we make mistakes we cannot stop doing that. Mind, that the examples I showed, were all written messages.
A lovely personal choice
Very nice. TY for stopping by.
Beautiful evergreens...I would love to see those giant redwoods...
Good choice. The Redwoods are spectacular - your photos are superb!
Hmmm, Evergreens? I love the Redwoods. They remind me of camping in my childhood. A nice picture of your Grandson too. How nice that he is a teacher in Vietnam.
What a big tree !
Have a nice day !
Hi Phyllis, I'm so glad I came across a link to your blog, it's been much too long...
Your giants are truly awe-inspiring, and how much more wonderful to have family near to share them with. I loved the watercolors you shared in an earlier post too, so delicate and lovely. I love your blog, there's always something magical to be found here.
(Note to self: bookmark it this time you twit!)
Excellent choices !A real discovery for me !
Those redwoods sure are beautiful; I hope someday to get out west and see them for myself! Thanks for sharin' the lovely pics, in the mean time!
Have a wonderful week ahead...
Awwwwwwwwwww. Your grandson is so sweet : ). How wonderful to have just graduated. I remember feeling like I was ready to conquer the world when I graduated from college. Growing up is such a difficult, yet thrilling, thing, isn't it?
You know what else you could have said about your evergreens? They are enchanting. So beautiful!
Hi!
Great "E" post. Everygreens are awesome trees! We have a 70 foot Blue Spruce sitting outside our front door. Have a great day!!
Sherrie
We are in the throes of a very snowy winter. It was a pleasure to look at your evergreens. thanks
One of the more interesting - and peaceful - places we visited last time we were in California, was Muir Woods. Those trees are incredible, and seem to create their own bubble of quiet and calm.
Such beautiful, majestic trees. The thought of them makes me feel very small.
They are really big trees. Hope you take good care of them.
Have a nice week.
Both giants, the trees and your grandson. Always nice to see pics of your family. I have fond memories of a family trip to the Redwoods when I was 7, 100 years ago (!)
Thanks for sharing!
Oh..great selection...I love the evergreens that we have in our yard. They provide great cover for the birds who visit the feeders...I have to sign in with my blogger account as you don't allow any other options.

Such ageless and impressive trees. I have enjoyed your post on the letter E as well as discovering your blog:)
