I snapped this picture last May when visiting my daughter Candace in Ontario, Oregon. She has a flat bird feeder outside her dining room window. These were shy little birds that flew at any perception of movement inside the room, so that I had to stay absolutely still with my camera set for the spot that they were apt to perch. They usually appear at Candace's house for about 5 days each spring before flying on to their summer destination.

Glad you're back; hope you're feeling better.
Nice bird.

I hope you are feeling much better. What a coincidence, my niece just had an emergency appendectomy a few days ago. She had such a stomach ache, finally went to the doctor and into the hospital she went. She is doing well also.
The Lazuli Bunting birds are a lovely blue. How fortunate you were visiting your daughter at the right time to capture a picture of them.
What cute little birds! If only I didn't have three cats I might have fun with a bird feeder or two.
Good to see you again! I've never heard of these birds but they are fascinating and your photos are wonderful!
Lovely to see you 'round the traps'! The birds are glorious and the blue is perfect. I believe it's a shade used in a lot of religious paintings.
Really colourful birds. I wish we had something like that.
Oh, gosh, weren't you lucky? What pretty little birds they are. They remind me a little bit of nuthatches - but I've never seen one of those, either.

These are such beautiful little gems - how lovely to be able to see them if only for a brief period. You did very well to capture them. I'm still hoping to capture the heron that steals our pond fish!
Welcome back! I hope like the other bloggers that you are feeling better now! What an absolutely beautiful photo. Your patience was amply rewarded.
Thank you for your visit and kind comment.
Such beautiful birds and well worth waiting to see.
Pity they had to leave.
